Computing is a science that enables digital resources to be exploited through a computer. The notion of computer is not limited to desktops and laptops, it represents any machine capable of processing information automatically. IT has seen a revolution in terms of simplicity and efficiency in recent years and has become ubiquitous in all administrative and commercial structures. Whether it's studying, working, inventing something, or even relaxing, the computer is a must-have tool that makes repetitive and difficult tasks a little fun. The role of the IT department is to forge new graduates to transform them into real IT experts thanks to a set of qualified, professional teachers who are able to share their knowledge and know-how. The computer science department is located on block E8.It of the old university campus. It contains five rooms well equipped with machines and well organized for the smooth running of the practical work. It also contains eight teaching rooms used for tutorials and class sessions. The IT department currently offers two bachelor's and two master's courses. The number of specialties is likely to increase in the next future to keep up with the expectations of the labor market. Concerning the doctoral training within the framework of the LMD, it is provided by a team made up of teacher-researchers from the computer science department, attached to the LabSTIC laboratory. Doctoral training has already been opened and doctoral thesis defenses have taken place . The quality of teaching offered by the teachers of the department has allowed our students to be ranked among the first in regional and national competitions which has made it possible to benefit from scholarships, and this for the three levels, namely license , master's and doctorate. Studying computer science increases the chances of finding a good job in any public or private sector. The possibility of starting your own business is another alternative that allows you to get into business through the development of standard and dedicated software, installation of computer networks, creation and hosting of websites, digital security and even the sale and maintenance of computer hardware. Thanks to a rich and balanced educational structure, the computer science department has brought together both the wisdom of veterans and the enthusiasm of young people. Indeed, the pedagogical staff of the computer science department is made up of about fifty 'teachers of different grades (Professors, Lecturer and Maitre-assistant).
